Hello everyone,I'm always searching for a effectiveãpowerfulãflexible(using
stratigies and algo trading) trading platform for a long long time, all the trade platform existed now are sucks, all I want is something powerful just like the editor *VIM or Shell in Linux*.Now I meet R,and I'm wondering if it is necessary to meet my demand. First let me describe my thoughts briefly: I.Input 'R' in Command Line II.Import something trade platform packges under R envoriment,*not gui*,but cml III.Login into my account using the broker's api IV.The most powerful places:very many tools which I can quote, see my account's positions, send buy/sell orders to the market and so on.And I can use all these commands together to get more powerful results, just like shell, you can use some commands together. V.I can treat every single stratgies as a plugin, and can use it flexiblely, just like something 'BUY IBM 100,000 Shares In exameplestrategy" Well,I think that is a good trade platform, not today's existed product in GUI,they are too slow and can not make trader(s) focus on markets.Maybe many spirits in linux can bring to this area. Can anyone give me a hint? Thanks very much [[alternative HTML version deleted]] _______________________________________________ [hidden email] mailing list https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/r-sig-finance -- Subscriber-posting only. Take a look at the packages most talked about on this list. Some ones
that may get you started include quantmod, xts, TTR, quantstrat, blotter, and IBrokers. All are non-GUI, and are very powerful for various aspects of a trading system. I realize that English isn't your native language, but if you could be more specific in terms of _what_ you want to do once you've looked over the details of the above packages, many on the list would be glad to give further guidance.
